iOS 6.1.2 jailbreak with Evasi0n

1. Update to the latest iOS 6.1.2
2. Read through http://www.redmondpie.com/jailbreak-ios-6.1.2-untethered-with-updated-evasi0n-v1.5-or-sn0wbreeze-v2.9.11/
3. Download Evasi0n v1.5 (Windows, Mac and Linux) 

Installous no longer work... There are other "repositories" you can use now... Goto http://www.iphonekart.com/how-to-get-cracked-app-store-apps-on-ios-6-06-1-with-and-without-jailbreaking/

I found vShare is useful. You need to add the source - http://repo.appvv.com and install this version instead.

Editing hosts file in iPhone/iPAD

You can now edit the hosts file with a jailbroken iPhone/iPad. Download the hosts file using tool like FileZilla. Default location is /etc/hosts. Download Notepad++ and edit the file. I've edit the file and convert it to ANSI under the Encoding menu. Once completed, upload the file back to the default location.  Try to ping the DNS... It should works!
